The Canadian Kitchen Cabinet Association held its 17th National Forum in Ottawa Feb. 3-6.
As part of the event, participants had an opportunity to visit three local manufacturing facilities and take in lectures and presentations by guest speakers, manufacturers and the Conference Board of Canada.
The tour of manufacturing facilities included manufacturing plants owned by three CKCA members: Deslaurier Custom Cabinets Ltd., Laurysen Kitchens Ltd. and Ottawa Valley Kitchens Ltd.
Also part of the tour was a visit of Lee Valley Tools' new distribution centre.
Suppliers delivered presentations on some of their products and services during a morning session that saw presentations by Blum, Planit Canada, Hettich, Upper Canada Forest Products, Grass and Taurus Craco.
Guest speaker Sam Geist, a business strategist and author talked about how to rate and improve business and Michael Burt, associate director of the Conference Board of Canada, delivered an economic forecast.
