Accuride International and the Belt Sander Racing Association (BSRA) are planning some full-throttle fun at a belt sander race set for Sept. 15, at the McKillican Vancouver Grand Event.
The races will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. at 20233-100A Avenue, Langley, British Columbia.
The Vancouver grand event will also celebrate the grand opening of McKillican's new showroom and will feature representatives from a host of key suppliers who will answer questions and offer expert advice.
Meanwhile, race entrants will vie for trophies with souped-up and stock belt sanders designed to roar down a 75-foot wooden track. Complete with Christmas-tree starting signals, the sawdust—and sanders—will really fly on the track, as racers compete for the fastest times. In addition to first, second and third place trophies, a special Judge's Award will be presented.
Racers are encouraged to register as soon as possible to reserve a space in the competition.
