Woodworking professionals will gather in Toronto next month for the 2011 edition of the Woodworking Machinery & Supply Expo (WMS), October 27-29 at the Direct Energy Centre.
Canada’s largest exhibition and convention centre is located close to downtown Toronto, less than a mile from the Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport and easily accessible by car and public transit. WMS will feature a wide selection of woodworking machinery, technology, suppliers, software and services.
Visitors will be able to check out a variety of modern production equipment and supplies offered by Canadian and international exhibitors.
There will be displays, demonstrations, workshops and many of the product seen earlier this spring at Germany’s LIGNA, interzum and the AWFS Fair Las Vegas will be on display right here in Toronto.
From the latest in hardware, decorative lighting, laminates to more flexible and energyefficient production equipment, attendees will have an opportunity to see a wide variety of machines, products and innovations in one convenient location.
The 2011 edition of WMS will also include the largest educational conference in its history and offer workshops and seminars ranging from improved production, "green" initiatives, finding and developing new markets and operating more efficiently.
The Centre for Advanced Wood Processing at the University of British Columbia, Conestoga College and the Architectural Woodwork Manufacturers Association (AWMAC) of Canada, are all supporting the conference.
There will also be presentations by the Cabinet Makers Association (CMA) and the Association of Closet and Storage Professionals. Additional programs will feature free, interactive discussions of the latest in woodworking technology offering an opportunity to find out about the latest trends and speak to experts.
