An oil painting hanging above Rob Dubiner’s desk depicts the company’s original home on King Street, in downtown Toronto.

Ford Machinery Supply has been, selling and trading woodworking and metalworking machinery and tools for 75 years.

Started in 1936 by Jack Dubiner, in the heart of what was then Toronto’s machinery district at King and Jarvis streets, the company is still family owned and operated - spanning four generations - after all these years. Two years after he started, Jack hired his father Max and the family tradition was born.

Rob Dubiner joined his father and brother Barry in 1969 as the family business continued to grow.

In 1991, Rob moved the business to Richmond Hill. Today, his daughter Paula, who joined the business after taking millwrighting courses, has started to run the company.

Ford Machinery takes used machines and rebuilds and restores them to same-as-new condition and sells them with an as-new machine warranty.

The company has a full-service, in-house machine shop with trained millwrights and mechanics.

They offer a vast and varied inventory of new, used and rebuilt machinery for all needs. Everything from woodworking, metalworking and tinsmithing machinery, to power tools, electric motors and accessories.

A dependable source of experience and expertise, Ford Machinery operates out of two warehouses and services everything they sell. Their expert service is available for all kinds of machinery, and they will do the work at the client’s shop or their own.

The company stocks more than 25,000 parts and hundreds of schematics and prides itself in its fast and reliable service to customers thanks to its fully stocked service vehicles. Ford Machinery also sells new metalworking and woodworking machinery. They buy, sell, trade, rent and repair all types of machinery.
