The Architectural Woodwork Manufacturers Association of Canada’s B.C. Chapter honoured its very best during a gala and awards night in Vancouver recently.
The Sept. 29 Awards of Excellence celebration at the Vancouver Convention Centre West, saw more than 350 guests including members, architects, interior designers, general contractors, specification writers, suppliers and students celebrate excellence in the design, manufacture and supply of architectural woodwork.
The main two criteria for the awards were Excellence of Service - a category that identifies member firms who have demonstrated superior service and performance in the supply and installation of architectural woodwork and Excellence of Quality – a category that identifies those who have shown they can supply and install work of the very highest quality.
The 21st annual AWMAC B.C. Awards of Excellence continued the tradition of honouring the very best involved in the design, manufacture and supply of architectural woodwork.
AWMAC B.C. has hosted the Awards of Excellence since 1990. The event began as an adjunct to its AGM and boasted an attendance of just 20 members. From these humble roots the Awards of Excellence has grown along with their membership. From 25 member companies the chapter has grown to more than 100 manufacturer and supplier members.
The event celebrated outstanding architectural woodwork projects from 2010.
