Biesse Canada, a leading manufacturer of machinery and systems for the woodworking industry, recently hired Narendra ‘Nandu’ Atre as Biesse Canada’s product area manager representing all Biesse Wood Division lines throughout Ontario. Atre will be responsible for sales and support for all of Ontario.
A multi-degreed mechanical engineer, Atre has held a number of sales and management positions within the wood and plastics industries. Atre’s experience has included positions in Europe, India, Africa, and most recently Canada, where he has for the past decade worked in the same capacity for another woodworking machinery manufacturer.
This new hiring demonstrates Biesse’s commitment to better serve and support their Canadian customers. Biesse Canada has maintained double-digit sales growth in 2011 and continues to invest in the Canadian market. Recent investments have been seen in the increased development and expansion of Biesse Canada’s dealer network and a 25,000 square foot headquarters that has already welcomed hundreds of visitors in the past two years.
