Customers examine the new ProDecor collection at Hettich's Toronto showroom.
Hettich Canada hosted a special product launch and open house event at its Toronto showroom on Dec. 5 and 6, for the ProDecor handle collection.
ProDecor - Inspired by Life, represents a collection of handles and doorknobs designed to provide the basis for individualizing furniture in line with the latest trends. It showcases the four trend styles of New Modern, Deluxe, Organic and Folk.
Furniture buyers can identify with their own particular style or individualize furniture in line with the latest trends.
Mike Squizzato, president of Hettich Canada, said the event was a success with more than 50 customers visiting to check out the latest products and services.
“I was pleased with the open house. Especially this close to Christmas and with everybody being busy, I feel we had a really good turnout,” he says.
“This was a chance to show off the latest in the ProDecor collection and I think it was a good success.”
In Canada, the collection - which was partially introduced at IDS Toronto earlier this year - consists of some 380 different styles of handles and knobs and Squizzato said the line has proven very popular with their customers.
“We also have a lot of designers who will come in to have a look at the line and then end up spending many hours in the showroom because there is such a wide variety and it opens up a lot of new opportunities for them,” he says.
“ProDecor is a very unique and high-end offering and we’ve had really positive responses from our customers. Of course we will continue to carry the well-known popular styles,” Squizzato says, “in fact many of the old designs have been grandfathered and will continue, but here we are adding something new and fresh.”
The collection has everything from brushed and chrome finishes, leather and Swarovski crystal and even gold-plated and solid gold handles and knobs.
Squizzato said in addition, there are dozens more styles available through Hettich’s website and they can special order items for customers who can’t find what they are looking for in the already broad Canadian collection.
He said ProDecor offers the perfect way for their customers to create a special impact and create the effect that fits the room they are building or designing.
“It offers a lot of possibilities for something new and different.”
Early in 2013 there will be more news in the form of additions to the Magic lighting line and Hettich will put a special focus on its full and partial extensions and the double-wall drawer system.
“We are always thinking about ways to find a better solution for our customers and this system offers one platform to do it all. That’s good news because it means they can carry lower inventory.”
