CKCA National Forum just around the corner

Olympian Mark Heese will be one of the speakers at CKCA's National Forum.

Get ready for the Canadian Kitchen Cabinet Association’s National Forum, which will be held in Winnipeg, Man. from Jan. 31 to Feb. 3.
The Forum will kick off Thursday, Jan. 31 with a Welcome Cocktail Reception and Jazz Quartet. Be sure to stop in for cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, network with your peers and pick up your registration package.
Friday, Feb. 1 promises to be an action-packed day, that starts with a buffet breakfast in the morning, followed by plant tours at Decor Cabinet Company’s modern production facilities and showroom which features the latest innovations in cabinetry.
In the afternoon participants will tour the Duha Group, a company specializing in coating, striping and chip mounting of precision color matched paints.  
After a brief return to the hotel, participants will head out for an unforgettable evening of magic, mystery and architectural wonder, as they experience the Hermetic Code Tour at the Manitoba Legislative Building followed by dinner.
Saturday, Feb. 2, will feature the CKCA Annual General Meeting, to hear the highlights of 2012 and the future plans for the association.
Also on Saturday there will be a number of dynamic speakers, including:
Mark Heese, Olympic beach volleyball medalist who will talk about what it takes to push limits, achieve the unrealistic and commit to everyday greatness. He is a unique and memorable storyteller.
Dr. David Crowe, chief economist and senior vice president at the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), will talk about the state of the economy in the United States.
Françoise Dion, national manager, specifications, Richelieu Hardware will provide attendees with an overview of the IMM 2013 furniture and kitchen show being held in Cologne in January. She'll cover what is ‘in’ and what is coming for color and material.      
Supplier presentations from Richelieu Hardware Ltd., Hettich Canada, BLUM Canada, Planit Canada and Grass Canada Inc. are also a big part of Saturday’s itinerary.
And there will be additional speakers on a variety of topics.
Saturday afternoon, visit suppliers in the exhibitor area during the cocktail reception. The ever-popular President’s Dinner will follow with entertainment by ‘Pop the Trunk’ a young, energetic band, which will provide a great array of music from country, rock and pop. 
The Forum wraps up on Sunday, Feb. 3 with the Manufacturers’ Roundtable Session. This highly valued component of the program provides an opportunity for frank and open discussions on current industry matters.
