Richard Bluteau, right, and Pedro Salinas discuss the layout of the new showroom.
It has only been a couple of weeks since SCM Group Canada relocated its Ontario headquarter to a brand new, state-of-the-art facility in Mississauga, Ont. and that means they are still hard at work setting up their new home. They closed up shop at the old Lorimer Drive location on a Friday Dec. 15 and opened the new offices on Monday Dec. 17, without the loss of a single day of business or customer support.
Richard Bluteau, manager at SCM Group Canada, says they are thrilled about the new, modern facility, which offers more than 20,000 sq. ft. of space and includes high-end offices and a large showroom to feature a wide range of equipment. He says the new home will ensure SCM Group Canada will continue as one of the leaders in the distribution of woodworking machinery in the Canadian market.
Bluteau says he is looking forward to an exciting 2013 when they will host more SCM Days and open house and Technology Days dedicated for specific applications.
“Everybody here is very excited about the new facility, there is a real positive vibe and we are looking forward to the coming year.”
The new headquarter is located at 4590 Eastgate Parkway
Mississauga, Ont. is just minutes away from the 401 at Dixie Road and Toronto Pearson International Airport.
“We are thrilled to be here and ready to serve our customers and I want to invite anyone interested in quality woodworking machines to stop by and see what we have to offer,” Bluteau says.
An official opening is planned for March, the exact date will be announced soon.
