After a couple of years in the U.S., Marc F. Legal has returned to Canada. Following a consolidation of SCM Group North America’s service departments, which meant all service managers worked from one central facility.
SCM Group Canada has decided to bring its own service boss back to Toronto.
Service reps were always located in offices across Canada and when a call was placed to the service department it was Legal’s phone that rang, regardless of whether he was in the U.S. or Canada, but he said it is a bit about perception as well.
“There was no difference in the level of service we provided, we just wanted to be physically closer to Canadian customers, even if it wasn’t me that came out to their shop,” he said.
“I’m glad to be back, I think ultimately this is the right solution for everyone.”
