imm cologne 2014 featured more than 1,100 exhibitors from 50 countries.
imm 2014, the international furnishing show, was held in Cologne, Germany January 13-19.
The show featured the latest international furniture and interior design trends from more than 1,100 companies from 50 countries as well as numerous themed exhibit areas. More than 140,000 visitors were expected at the show.
imm showcased a wide variety of the latest in living room, bedroom and bathroom furniture and furnishings as well as mattresses and sleep systems and award-winning products from up-and-coming designers and young professionals. Global Lifestyles exhibits featured international living and bedroom furniture and there were various exhibits under the Pure umbrella theme. Pure is a format for design focus and quality. This segment of imm brings together high-quality products from all categories, created by designers for internationally operating brand name companies, curators of smaller editions or specialized design labels. (D3) Design Talents - is a focus section for young and up and coming designers, as well as more traditional sectors.
imm also sponsored and hosted the Interior Innovation Awards, a competition organized by the German Design Council.
For the eleventh time in 2014, the Interior Innovation Award went to three young designers selected by the jury from the talent forum D3 Contest 2014.
This year, imm also featured Living Interiors, a special exhibit hall dedicated to the latest trends and de- sign concepts for bathrooms, flooring, wall coverings and lighting.
As part of the Living Interiors show, the German Design Council presented Trend Avenue displaying the latest trends from bathroom, floors/walls and lighting as well as the Interior Innovation Award 2014.
Next year, imm 2015 will feature Living Kitchen - a special event featuring roughly 200 exhibitors displaying everything for the kitchen including furniture, appliances, fixtures, sinks, countertops and lighting.
