The German Design Council and imm Cologne presented the Interior Innovation Award, one of the most important design awards for the furnishing industry, during imm 2014 in Cologne this January.
The coveted distinction Best of Best 2014 was presented to 15 products. Also, in the [D3] Contest three awards were bestowed on young international designers for their superb prototypes.
The objective of the Interior Innovation Award, which was bestowed for the first time in 2002, is to pay tribute to interior design products that possess a persuasive and trend-setting design, thus reflecting the industry’s innovative strength. Since its establishment, the competition has emerged as an effective instrument for participants and winners to position themselves and set their products apart from those of rivals. The contest is open not only to imm cologne exhibitors, but to all companies from the interior design industry possessing products in the categories of furniture, bathroom, office/work place, building interiors, walls/floors/ceilings, kitchens/household, luminaries, outdoor products and textiles.
The [D3] Contest is an international competition for up-and-coming talents and offers young designers a platform to present their ideas for innovative furnishing objects to an international trade audience.
