The iF jury has given the 2014 iF Product Design Award to no fewer than three Hettich products/functions. The prizes were presented during the iF Design Awards Night Feb. 28, 2014.
The prestigious iF Design Award has been presented to outstanding design achievements for more than six decades. Hettich impressed the jury with the Sensys wide- angle hinge, the Sensys thick-door hinge and the Push to open Silent function for ArciTech.
The Sensys wide-angle hinge gives furniture doors a wide opening angle and closes them evenly and gently. The invisibly integrated Silent System leaves no margin of doubt with its outstanding performance: exceptionally wide self-closing angle of 35°. Zero protrusion permits the use of internal drawers without spacer profiles.
Fitted with Sensys, even thick furniture doors close smoothly, gently and silently. This Sensys version also provides the exceptionally wide self- closing angle of 35° as well as ideal Silent System performance.
The all-mechanical principle of Push to open Silent for ArciTech drawers works like an electromechanical system: it opens drawers all by itself and closes them softly and gently. Opening force, triggering sensitivity and front panel gap can be adjusted. This function can be added at a later date without having to modify the drawer.
