Tour participants visit Blum plants, EuroCucina.
Blum Canada recently sponsored a tour, through the Canadian Kitchen Cabinet Association, that saw some 40 CKCA members visit Blum plants in Austria and EuroCucina in Milan, Italy.
Participants spent three days in Austria visiting local sights, including a trip to Schloss Neuschwanstein in Bavaria, Germany and visited four of Blum’s seven manufacturing plants.
One of the highlights of the tour was a visit to the Blum apprenticeship area, complete with a presentation from a second year, female apprentice tool and die maker.
The group then moved on to Milan, Italy by way of CAMAR S.p.A., for a factory tour organized by Richelieu, a short detour to Lake Como and ultimately to EuroCucina to check out the emerging trends in kitchen design and materials.
Kevin Tratt, president and general manager at Blum Canada, says the goal was to offer a tour that delivered “added value to being a member of the CKCA, have customers visit Blum and see what we do and of course see the latest in kitchen design at the largest kitchen show in the world.”
