interzum 2015 will once again present the latest products, trends and services in interiors and furniture production.

interzum 2015 will be held in Cologne, Germany May 5-8, and is the leading event for suppliers of furniture production and interiors and presents the complete range of products of suppliers to the furniture and interior industries. As the world’s largest trade fair for the sector, interzum once again promises a must-see event for everyone in the furniture production and interiors sectors. interzum offers a comprehensive overview of new technologies and designs, encompassing an extremely broad scope of products as only a leading international trade fair can.
The fair will offer a wide selection ranging from fittings, lighting and surfaces to upholstery, fabrics, leather, furniture and interior elements for every application.

New Focus
And to turn something good into something even better, interzum is year concentrating on just three exhibition segments instead of seven,” says Katharina C. Hamma, chief operating officer of Koelnmesse GmbH.
“This new approach will offer visitors and exhibitors a clearer structure and simplifies the classification. Based on the experiences from the last show, we will continue to work with just three segments. Overall, the trade fair’s comprehensive range of exhibits is presented in 9 halls, covering 160,000 square metres exhibition space.”
‘Materials & Nature’ bundles all of the companies that focus on wood, veneer, parquet flooring, interior construction, decorative surfaces, decor paper, laminated flooring, wooden paneling, laminated plastics, solid surface materials, skirting, surface treatments, adhesives, embossing cylinders and press plates.
‘Function & Components addresses the producers of semi-finished goods for modular furniture, office furniture, tables and chairs, light and lighting systems, fittings, locks and furniture components.
The exhibition segment ‘Textile & Machinery’ displays companies that produce upholstery materials, manufacture machines for the production of upholstery or mattresses. Or who work in the upholstery accessories, upholstery material or leather business.
“interzum shows the way into the future,” says Hamma. “By further developing the concept together with the industry leaders, we ensure that interzum will always be a place of knowledge exchange, a forum for the presentation of new products and a place where future trends become visible and where industry visions are expressed.”

• The ‘interzum award: intelligent material & design’ will be awarded for the eighth time. The results will show once again the significance of the supplier industry in the development of contemporary designs. Innovative products that unite above-average functionality with the highest quality are honoured. During  the trade fair the winners of the ‘interzum award’ will be displayed on the Boulevard, which is the central connection between the exhinition halls.
• The Piazza ‘innovation of interior’ in Hall 4.2 is a unique offer aimed at designers, architects and product developers. It focuses on the latest trends and design possibilities. In 2015, the focus is on the 3D technology.
• The Piazza in Hall 6, which focuses on Materials & Nature, is dedicated to the latest trends and product developments for decorative surfaces, wooden paneling, veneer or solid wood. And a complete textile production line will be showcased in Hall 10.1.
