As part of this year’s Conestoga College annual Woodworking Students’ showcase awards on Aug. 15, AWMAC Ontario presented the Al Sparling Bursary to the college.
AWMAC Ontario President Ian Christie presented Conestoga College's Steve Bader with a $1,000 cheque from AWMAC's Al Sparling Memorial Bursary.
The bursary is given each year to a college woodworking program to promote woodworking, encourage the next generation of Woodworkers and in recognition of the college's dedication to woodworking education.
AWMAC Ontario supports a number of colleges and each year the bursary is given to a different college.
The college that hosts the AWMAC Ontario Apprenticeship Contest each year receives the bursary distribution.
