RAMS industries launches plant-based edgebanding in Canada.
RAMS Industries, a distributor specializing in the sale and marketing of quality edgebanding and hot melt adhesives for the furniture industry, is launching a plant-based edgebanding innovation for Canadian woodworkers and furniture designers.
With a proprietary and patented edgebanding resin formulation, BioEdge is petroleum-free, non-toxic, and food safe. The product is made from sustainably and renewably sourced sugar cane, is 85% plus biodegradable, and can be discarded in designated composting facilities.
BioEdge runs on standard edgebander equipment requiring no special tooling and is stable on furniture.
The product is available in thirty-eight solid colours in standard edgebanding sizes while custom colours are possible.
BioEdge enables Canadian woodworkers to qualify their furniture components in LEED-certified building projects, support their cradle-to-cradle product philosophy, or assist them with their product return strategy implementation.
