CKCA welcomed more than 130 manufacturers, suppliers and dealers to the Spring Regional Event in Ottawa, April 28-30.
A capacity crowd toured four innovative plants including Potvin Construction, Muskoka Cabinet Company, Laurysen Kitchens and Caivan.
The manufacturers roundtable had great attendance as well with 50 participants and great conversations, which everyone said remains a valuable part of CKCA’s programming.
The focus of CKCA events remains on business and networking.
“We know this is why people come, to learn and build connections and return to their shops with ideas and greater confidence in what they do,” says Sandra Wood, CKCA’s executive director.
The event started off with a welcome reception on April 28, and the next day, following an early breakfast, participants set off for a day of shop tours at Potvin Construction and Muskoka Cabinet Company as well as an update of CKCA’s Advanced Manufacturing Program.
The afternoon saw a packed Manufacturers Roundtable discussion, which was followed by a reception and the President’s Dinner and presentations.
April 30 started with a presentation on Laurysen Kitchens’ new showroom design followed by tours of Laurysen Kitchens impressive new, 80,000 sq. ft. production facility, Caivan and then Laurysen Kitchens new showroom.
