IMS is introducing the Marunaka Tekkosho Inc.’s Super Surfacers to the North American market.
Quebec-based Industrial Machinery Sales (IMS) has been supplying a full line of veneer machinery for more than 40 years and now they are introducing Marunaka Tekkosho Inc.’s Super Surfacers to the North American market.
Marunaka Super Surfacers will redefine wood finishing by replacing abrasive sanding with a razor-sharp knife, mimicking the quality of a perfect hand plane.
Unlike sanding, the process cuts the fibre tips tightly, which results in an exceptionally smooth, flat, shimmering surface. It prevents grain rising with water-based finishes and yields superior clarity and absorption with non-water-based finishes.
This Japanese technology offers significant advantages, including the fact that frequently no additional finishing is required, which saves on labour costs and creates no dust.
IMS supplies new and used machinery for the veneer industry - slicers, dryers, grinder, steam vat - and their experience in the industry and mechanical background allows them to also source used equipment, which is then refurbish and resold.
Their latest edition, the Marunaka Super Surfacers, is designed for the finest and fastest type of wood surface finishing, making it a perfect solution for a wide range of woodworking industries.
Among IMS services are set-up of new and used equipment, training for installation of equipment, accessories, spare parts, machine operation, maintenance and more.
As the official North American representative for Marunaka Tekkosho Inc., which has been producing woodworking machines for more than 70 years, IMS offers their full range of products including any new machinery, spare parts, genuine knives & nose bar, drive belts and more.
