The Association of Woodworking & Furnishings Suppliers (AWFS) has announced the launch of Pellet Tech, a new featured destination at AWFS Fair 2027 focused on wood pellet manufacturing and waste-to-revenue solutions for the woodworking industry.
Pellet Tech connects equipment manufacturers and technology providers with wood manufacturers actively looking to turn waste such as sawdust, chips, and residuals into a profitable revenue stream. This shift reflects a more focused, commercially viable approach that aligns with growing demand for practical, results-driven solutions on the show floor.
“Pellet Tech is one step in our broader mission of informing Fair participants about the revenue-generating potential of wood waste and the ability to take the liability of wood waste disposal off the balance sheet and transform it into power generation for shops (of all sizes) or into a new revenue source,” says Angelo Gangone, executive vice president, AWFS and AWFS Fair.
“This is the future. Shops that adapt to this reality the quickest will find themselves ahead of the curve and their competition.”
Located within AWFS Fair, taking place July 13–15, 2027, in Las Vegas, Pellet Tech will showcase pellet production equipment, drying systems, material handling solutions, and supporting technologies.
Attendees will also have access to educational opportunities throughout AWFS Fair, including sessions on pellet production, equipment selection, operational considerations, and real-world applications.
These programs are designed to help manufacturers evaluate and implement pellet manufacturing as a revenue-generating solution.
The introduction of Pellet Tech represents a strategic evolution of the AWFS® Fair show floor, offering exhibitors a focused platform to engage with qualified buyers while giving attendees direct access to both the education and solutions needed to act.
AWFS Fair remains the leading event in the western United States for woodworking manufacturing professionals, bringing together equipment, technology, education, and industry expertise under one roof.
