Bill Kocjancic of Akhurst Machinery has taken on the role as AWMAC Ontario’s new president. He is replacing Nick Anastas who will continue as past president.
Kocjancic says he is truly honoured to serve as president of AWMAC Ontario.
“Having been involved with this association for years, I have seen firsthand the tremendous value that AWMAC brings to our industry and to its members.” Kocjancic says. “I am excited for the opportunity to work with our board, committees and the membership as we continue to strengthen our chapter and support the future of architectural woodworking across Ontario.
“I would first like to extend my sincere thanks to Nick Anastas for his years of dedicated service and leadership. Nick invested an incredible amount of time and energy into advancing AWMAC Ontario and helping position our chapter for continued success. His contributions have left a strong foundation for us to build upon, and on behalf of our entire membership, I would like to thank him for his commitment and all of his hard work.
“I would also like to thank all of our Ontario members who attended the recent National Convention in Quebec City. Your participation demonstrated that AWMAC Ontario is fully committed to supporting AWMAC National and ensuring that our chapter's voice is heard. The strength of our association comes from active participation, and it was encouraging to see such strong representation from Ontario.
“As members, your input is extremely important. I encourage everyone to continue sharing ideas, concerns, and opportunities for improvement. Open communication allows us to better serve our members, strengthen AWMAC Ontario and contribute meaningfully at the national level. Together, we can continue to shape an organization that delivers value to all members while ensuring that Ontario remains an influential voice within AWMAC.”
Kocjancic says AWMAC has been built on the willingness of members to volunteer their time, share their expertise and support one another and he encourage every member to become involved, participate in events and committees and help AWMAC identify opportunities that will continue to move our association forward.
“I am excited about what lies ahead and look forward to working with all of you as we continue building a stronger AWMAC Ontario together,” Kocjancic says.
