Angelika Hofmann
Grass America, a leading supplier of functional hardware to the cabinet industry, has appointed Angelika Hofmann as chief executive officer. In this role, Hofmann will lead the company’s strategic direction and operations while advancing its commitment to quality-driven hardware solutions for customers across North America.
Hofmann previously served as chief operating officer and a member of Grass America’s Management Board. Since joining the company, she has brought key stakeholders together by developing cross-functional teams, applying a high-energy, outside perspective, and fostering a culture of constructive collaboration and solution-oriented thinking. New to the industry, Hofmann has approached every aspect of the business with curiosity by working to understand its strengths, asking how the organization can build on them, and encouraging teams to identify what is needed to take Grass America to the next level.
Her ability to promote idea sharing and engage employees across functions has helped strengthen the organization. As CEO, she will guide Grass America through its next phase of growth while reinforcing the company’s long-standing reputation for innovation, reliability, and customer partnership.
Born in Japan and having begun her professional career in Germany, Hofmann brings a broad international perspective to the role. She has spent the past several years in the United States, building on extensive experience in finance, controlling, and manufacturing operations.
Before joining Grass America, Hofmann served as head of finance & controlling at ZEISS Industrial Metrology in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She earned her diploma from Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt, establishing a strong foundation in international accounting and deep familiarity with production environments.
As CEO, Hofmann will oversee Grass America’s overall business strategy and performance, including finance and controlling, production, IT, human resources, purchasing, and commercial operations.
Her technical expertise, collaborative leadership style, and forward-looking approach will support the company’s ability to serve customers, invest in its people, and build for a stable future.
