Andrew Legault, president of CNC Automation, in discussion during the Open House.
CNC Automation held a big open house event at their offices and showroom in St. Zotique, Quebec on Nov. 6-7.
The event featured live production and a chance to see all of their solutions in action. Among the manufacturers featured were Thermwood, Cefla, Timesavers, Omal and many, many more.
“It was fantastic,” says Andrew Legault, president.
“We had close to 100 visitors. We usually expect 40-50 companies, but we really exceeded that, it was great.
“We ran all the equipment and we showed people that we don’t just sell machines, we sell complete solutions, right through to finishing and I had a number of people tell me they appreciate seeing the complete process like that. Everything from start to finish.”
Legault says they sold the first Thermwood Cut Centre and there has been strong interest in the latest CNC Automation-designed software solutions.
“We have just come out with a couple additional software solutions that we developed specifically for the Canadian market and with input from our customers,” he says. One of these solutions addresses the increasingly frequent customer request for grain matching across cabinets.
“That’s something a lot of people want to do now, it’s a big trend and our new software makes that easy, it’s a great solution.
“We don’t hold these big events very often,” Legault says, but when we do we want to make it worthwhile for people to come here and I think we succeeded. We had customers come from as far away as Hamilton, Ottawa and the Maritimes.”
