Jürgen Köppel moves to Leitz Group

As of Sept. 1, 2016, Jürgen Köppel will become the new spokesman for Leitz GmbH & Co. KG, of Oberkochen, Germany. Alessandro Telesio will leave the company after more than three years of holding this position for Leitz Group.
From 2009, Köppel was the director of sales, service and marketing (CSO) for the HOMAG Group and before that, from 2004 he was managing director of Brandt edgebanding machines in the wood and wood processing industry.
From 2000 until 2004 he managed the Sales and Application Engineering position of Gildemeister turning machines. Köppel holds degrees in Aerospace Engineering and Industrial Engineering.
In addition to his function as a speaker of Leitz management, Köppel also will be responsible for marketing and sales. Together with his colleagues Dr. Georg Hanrath, Robert Lukassen and Michael Voss, he will move the strategic expansion of the Leitz Group and continue to strengthen its position as a global market leader of precision tools for the professional processing of wood, wood derived materials and plastic.
