More than 270 visit Fall Biesse Inside event at Biesse Group Canada.
Biesse Group Canada held a successful Fall Biesse Inside event at their Mississauga offices and showroom Nov. 2-4, with more than 270 representatives from 95 companies attending.
“It was a great event,” said Matt Fleming, Biesse’s vice-president of sales. “This time we combined Intermac and the woodworking side and we had really strong turnout.”
Intermac is the Biesse Group company that specializes in glass, stone and metal processing technologies.
Across North America, Biesse Group held several Fall Inside events at showrooms in Charlotte (Oct. 26-27), Toronto (Nov. 2-4) and Anaheim (Nov. 9).
Technology was once again the big draw, according to Fleming, with a number of customers inquiring about the latest CNC and 5-axis router technology.
“Nesting machines are a big pull for us and our bSolid CAD/CAM software continues to generate a lot of interest. Customers like the idea of having a stand-alone solution that works with their machine without requiring any third party solution.”
Fleming said the ability to design within the software and then go straight to the machine is a big draw and he says Biesse has been busy, partially because of a strong economy, but also because manufacturers are implementing automation in order to gain efficiencies. He is also seeing ongoing interest in Industry 4.0 – a game changer when it comes to increasing production and efficiencies - for entry-level manufacturers.
“They are investing in their businesses, times are good and advanced technology adds efficiencies.
“We had very good sales from the show for both Intermac as well as the wood side.”
