Uniboard launches a complete digital solution

To meet the growing demand of architects and designers for digital images, Uniboard is offering its customers new high resolution files in different formats. These files have the appearance of real products and are perfectly calibrated for all types of web usage. It also provides a turnkey solution for all 3D design software such as 2020, SketchUp, Cabinet Vision, CAD software, etc. This will make it easier to include their products in any CAD design project.
Uniboard has worked with Arcane Technologies Inc. to scan all of its panels. Colours and textures have been captured separately, resulting in realism, resolution and image accuracy, unmatched to date. Animated GIFs are also available, allowing the user to see the texture as it appears on real samples.
"For us, it was essential that the quality of our products also reflects on the digital sphere that is becoming increasingly important in the market. We are the first to offer such a complete solution, thus the name Design 360," says Don Raymond, vice president marketing and US sales at Uniboard.
Uniboard Canada Inc. is a leading North American manufacturer of engineered wood products, having an installed capacity of over 660 million square feet of raw particleboard, high and medium-density fiberboard, of which over 50% is converted into value-added thermally fused laminate, laminate flooring, engineered flooring and rigid core flooring products. Its mills are located in Val-d’Or, Sayabec, Mont-Laurier and Laval and employ over 850 people.
