In honour of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Biesse Group North America is sponsoring a Scarf and Hat drive to collect items that will be donated to The Buddy Kemp Cancer Support Centre.
After speaking with the representatives at the Cancer Support Centre, the upcoming fall and winter season brings a large demand for scarves and hats. They support all of the cancer centres in the surrounding Charlotte area and also provide items in their lending boutique for chemotherapy patients throughout the Southeast at no cost. Many patients lose their hair during chemotherapy and scarves and hats are the easiest, most comfortable and versatile head coverings. They can hide hair loss; help keep the patient warm and protect them from the sun.
Donations will be accepted through the month of October and delivered to the Buddy Kemp Cancer Support Centre the first week of November.
