MICROJIG, a leader in table saw accessories, will donate 1 percent of its revenues to charitable causes in 2020.
At the start of the new year, people around the world are inspired to start fresh.
MICROJIG, a leader in innovative table saw accessories and smarter woodworking tools, will start 2020 the same way.
The company has announced the kickoff of its newest effort to give back, and starting in 2020, MICROJIG will donate 1 per cent of company revenues to humanitarian nonprofits and other charitable organizations.
"The MICROJIG mission is to empower others to succeed at their passions and build their dreams," CEO Bruce Wang said.
"The 1% for People Initiative continues that mission by supporting those who have been afflicted by injustice, poverty or unfortunate circumstances so they can pursue their passions. They, too, deserve the chance to build their dreams."
MICROJIG will use the money from the program in three ways.
First, it will help fund the company's efforts to donate two GRR-RIPPERs for every table saw in public U.S. high schools. Second, the company will allow each of its associates to select a nonprofit and will make a $500 donation per year in their name. Finally, MICROJIG itself will select worthy causes to receive a special gift donation.
Growing and giving back is at the core of MICROJIG.
The company has donated thousands of dollars of products to high schools across the country as part of its school donation program, founded in 2018, and has made thousands of dollars of charitable donations throughout its history.
With the new 1% for People Initiative, MICROJIG hopes to be able to do even more. The growing company recently celebrated the milestone of selling its one-millionth product worldwide.
