For the second time within a week, a European trade fair organizer has announced that they are postponing their event as a result of the coronavirus.
Following the postponement of Salone Del Mobile, Eurocucina last week, now Nürnberg Messe and VDMA Holzbearbeitungsmaschinen (VDMA woodworking machinery) have followed suit and decided to reschedule HOLZ-HANDWERK and FENSTERBAU FRONTALE.
The joint exhibition will not take place as originally planned March 18-21, but later in 2020 at a yet-to-be-determined date.
The reason for the postponement is the increased spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) and corresponding feedback from customers and industry representatives.
"We hope that the industry will understand the decision to postpone," organizers said in a news release.
“The aim of every exhibition has to be to create a special experience for exhibitors and visitors and to enable networking and expansion of existing business relations. Unfortunately, this goal cannot be achieved under the current circumstances.”
