Metrie, a North American manufacturer and distributor of interior millwork, has announced its acquisition of Pacific MDF Products Inc. (PMDF)and Canadian MDF Products Company (CMDF), collectively known as Pac Trim, located in Rocklin, Calif., and Edmonton, AB, respectively.
Metrie says that, when the newly acquired Pac Trim assets are added to its existing MDF manufacturing facilities, make Metrie the largest MDF moulding manufacturer in North America.
Headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, Metrie also has MDF moulding manufacturing facilities in Toronto, Ontario, and Calgary, Alberta, as well as a softwood manufacturing facility in Ferndale, Washington, and a pre-finished manufacturing facility in Surrey, British Columbia. The company also operates 26 distribution centres in the U.S. and Canada.
The acquisition allows Metrie entry into the California market, expanding the company’s customer reach, and adds to its overall footprint and production capabilities in Western Canada and the West/Pacific Northwest region in the US.
