Metrie, one of North America’s largest manufacturer and distributor of millwork solutions will acquire California’s EL & EL Wood Products, one of the largest distributors of mouldings and millwork products in California, Nevada and Arizona.
Metrie, which is headquartered in Vancouver, operates six solid wood and MDF manufacturing facilities, plus 26 distribution centers in the U.S. and Canada. This makes it easier to react to regional needs and provide better, more responsive logistical support.
According to Businesswire, Kent Bowie, president and CEO of Metrie said: “Metrie is growing,” and “as a company we are committed to bringing the best experience in the industry to our valued partners.
“However, until (this) announcement, we had a relatively small distribution footprint in California, the fifth largest economy in the world.
